Marc Pingris dismisses cheating allegations, while Danica Sotto ignores them

Actress Danica Sotto seemingly ignored the cheating allegations against her husband, basketball player Mark Pingris, who, in turn, categorically denied them.

The allegations began when a certain X user named Auntie Selina, who has over 18,000 followers, shared photos of Pingris and actress Kim Rodriguez. They appear to be in the same location in Sydney, Australia.

The user also shared a screenshot of an August 2023 post where Pingris and Rodriguez are posing for photos with store employees.

“Just in: Marc Pingris and Kim Rodriguez spotted in the same places. Are these edited photos or merely a coincidence?” the user said.

But Pingris, in a Facebook post on March 28, said there's no truth to allegations about him and Rodriguez.

"Walang katotohanan ang mga lumalabas na balita tungkol sa amin ni Ms. Kim Rodriguez," he said. "Walang namamagitan sa aming dalawa gaya ng sinasabi ng ibang tao."

Pingris noted that he spent time with Rodriguez during a basketball game and another event when she served as his team's muse.

He thanked those who reached out to him, assuring the public that he and his family are ok.

"Wag na po tayo magpakalat ng mga balita na hindi totoo. Humihingi po kami ng respeto para hindi madamay ang mga anak namin ni Danica," he added. "Salamat po at God bless po."

Pebbles Duque, a close friend of Sotto, earlier dismissed the allegations.

“Ay nako. He wont do that. Maraming priorities si Marc. They have a beautiful family,” Duque said in the caption when she shared a news report about the issue.

In another post, Duque shared a solo portrait of Pingris in Sydney and took note of its date.

“Re Marc Pingris: That photo was taken before pa Feb 16,” she said. “My besfriend Danica and him have a very beautiful family.”

She urged social media users to observe the Holy Week.

“Holy week na, dasal na lang po tayo para naman mabawasan yung mga kasalanan natin,” she added with the hashtag #char.

Sotto commented on the post, asking Duque to calm down.

“Kalma miga! We love you.” Sotto said, to which Duque replied, “Buti ka pa, kalma!” with a face with tears of joy emoji.

Sotto didn’t directly address the rumors with her comment, while Rodriguez has yet to address the issue.

Sotto and Pingris got married in 2007. They have three children together.
