Seonhohadas, the long wait is over.

Kim Seon-ho, also known as Chief Hong from Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and Good Boy of Start Up, is set to make his acting comeback through the play Touching the Void which will run from July 8 to September 18.

Seon-ho’s acting comeback was confirmed by his entertainment agency, Salt Entertainment, on May 13.

According to reports, Seon-ho will portray the role of Joe, a 25-year-old mountaineer who fights for survival in the Peruvian Andes with his younger partner, Simon Yates.

The plot is based on a true story of climbers whose journey happened in West Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes in 1985. Theater production company The Best Plays will be in charge of the show’s production.

The Korean actor will share the spotlight alongside actors Shin Sung-min, Lee Hwi-jong, Oh Jung-taek, and Ahn Jung-hwan.

Seon-ho began his acting career with the play New Boeing Boeing in 2009. Prior to appearing in K-dramas, he made a name for himself as a theater actor.

The play will be Seon-ho’s first appearance in the spotlight since October 2021 when he was accused of coercing his ex-girlfriend to get an abortion, as mentioned by an anonymous post on social media. The actor’s acquaintances eventually stepped in to clear the allegations about his past relationship.
