5 Ahn Bo-hyun K-dramas to make your heart melt

If you've been watching See You in My 19th Life on Netflix, it's highly likely that you've fallen for Mun Seo-ha, a handsome chaebol heir who has a great sense of humor.

Playing the role is none other than Ahn Bo-hyun, one of the fastest-rising stars in the Hallyu wave—thanks to his charming looks and superb acting skills.

Bo-hyun, 35, has been acting since 2014 and has appeared in a variety of films and television dramas. However, it was his role in the 2020 drama Itaewon Class that really made him a star.

But before becoming an actor, Bo-hyun was a talented boxer. He competed in several tournaments in high school and even represented his hometown's team. Then in college, he took up a course in modeling and debuted as a model through a show in Seoul Collection, before eventually becoming an actor.

This dark and disturbing crime thriller follows the story of a heartbroken daughter Yoon Ji-woo (Han So-hee) who enters the police force so she can exact her revenge for her murdered father. Bo-hyun plays the role of Jeon Pil-do, a detective who had a blooming romance with Yoon Ji-woo.

Anyone who watches K-dramas is familiar with this 2016 smash hit drama Descendants of the Sun, which starred the ex-couple Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo. Bo-hyun played First Sergeant Im Gwang-nam, also known as Piccolo, who is part of the Alpha Team together with Song Joong-ki as the team’s captain.
