BTS’ Suga has finalized the date of his military enlistment.

In a statement released on Sunday, Sept. 17, BIGHIT MUSIC announced that the K-pop idol will be enlisting in the military on Sept. 22, adding that no official events will take place in line with it.

“We kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting Suga at his workplace during the period of his service. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts only,” the management said.

“We ask for your continued love and support for Suga until he completes his service and returns. Our company will also strive to provide all the support he needs during this time,” it added.

Suga will be the third BTS member to enlist in the South Korean military, following Jin and J-hope. He wrapped up his D-DAY world tour on Aug. 6.

According to South Korean laws, "those who are healthy enough to perform active or supplementary service are to be enlisted for active duty service, supplementary service, or the wartime labor service, based on their qualifications, such as educational background and age."
