BTS to drop new single 'Take Two' for 10th anniversary

Heads up, ARMY: A new BTS song is coming

South Korean label Big Hit Music announced on Wednesday, May 31 that the iconic K-pop group is set to release a new single dubbed Take Two on Friday, June 9 at 1 p.m. (12 noon PHT). 

“All seven members participated in Take Two. The song conveys their appreciation toward ARMY for all the love you shower them with and their desire to always be together with you,” the group's management said in a statement. 

“We sincerely express our gratitude to ARMY for making the 10th anniversary possible with your endless love for BTS, and we hope that Take Two will become a precious ‘gift’ from BTS to you all,” they added. 
 
The new project, along with a “BTS Festa” map with an exciting lineup of activities, is part of their 10th debut anniversary on June 13.

The year’s celebration is also supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and will run starting June 12 to June 25, painting Seoul’s famous landmarks purple such as N Seoul Tower, Seoul City Hall, Dongdaemun Design Plaza, and more. 

The group also teased a major event happening on June 17 at Yeouido Hangang Park, which will be open to the public with the slogan: BTS Presents Everywhere.” 

BTS is a septet group consisting of members RM, Jin, Jungkook, V, Jimin, j-Hope, and Suga. They are currently on a hiatus from group activities, during which they will focus on solo projects and fulfill their military enlistment requirements.

They are widely considered South Korea's biggest-ever cultural phenomenon, recognized by the Guinness World Records as the "most popular group in the world."
