Brad Pitt says he's no longer sober after seven years
Brad Pitt revealed that he has started drinking again after seven years without alcohol.
The actor opened up about his relationship with drinking in a recent interview with Esquire.
“I was sober for seven years, and then I got back off the wagon,” Pitt said.
The actor clarified that he now drinks "in a more restrained manner" and has become more conscious of his limits. "I got overconfident a couple times, went, ‘Yep, nope, not good for me.' Not in big quantities,” he shared.
Over the years, Pitt has been open about his journey to sobriety. In 2019, he talked about attending Alcoholics Anonymous following his divorce from Angelina Jolie and credited the group with helping him confront and work through his drinking.
Pitt previously described his decision to stop drinking as an important part of his personal recovery. He has also spoken about relying on support from others rather than trying to handle the process alone.
The actor continues to balance his personal life with a busy acting career. Pitt recently starred in F1, Apple Original Films' Formula 1 drama, and has several projects in development like Heart of the Beast and The Adventures of Cliff Booth.
