With in-person events slowly getting back up, the three-weekend Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival fest is officially back this April headlined by Harry Styles, Ye (Kanye West), and Billie Eilish.

After the announcement of the lineup earlier this month, news quickly spread that the 20-year-old Eilish will make history as the youngest artist to headline the popular festival, but she's not the only Gen Z artist to break ground this year.

Enter Bea Laus (stage name: beabadoobee), a Filipino-British artist who's been making waves with her own form of "bedroom pop" alternative music. The "bedroom pop" genre refers to the dreamy toned-down type of music often made in the comfort of an artist's home.

At 21-years-old, the Iloilo-born singer/songwriter will be the youngest Filipina singer to perform in Coachella. She's set to make an appearance on the third weekend of the festival on April 17 and 24.

Though her name might be new to your ears, you might have certainly heard her in the chorus of the 2020 hit Death Bed with artist Powfu.

"Playin on sunday babyyyyyy," the artist wrote.

In 2019, No Rome perform sang for Coachella alongside The 1975making him the first Filipino to sing on the California stage.

Bea was set to make her Coachella debut during the 2020 run of the festival when she was only 19, but the event was canceled due to the pandemic.
