Park Shin-hye, Choi Tae-joon welcome their first daughter
Korean celebrity couple Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon's family has gotten bigger!
On Tuesday, Sept. 22, Park’s agency, SALT Entertainment, confirmed that the couple has officially welcomed their second child through an official statement.
"We are delighted to announce that actress Park Shin-hye gave birth to a healthy daughter today, bringing another new family member to Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon’s family," it said.
It added that both Park and the baby are healthy, and that the actress "is resting and recovering in the care and love of her family.”
The talent management firm also extended its gratitude to fans and supporters worldwide, asking for warm blessings as the couple embarks on this new chapter as a family of four.
Park first captured hearts in 2003 as a child actress, playing the young counterpart of Choi Ji-woo's character, Han Jung-suh, in the melodrama Stairway to Heaven. She recently starred in hits such as Doctor Slump, The Judge from Hell, and Undercover Miss Hong.
Meanwhile, Choi recently appeared in the drama series Iron Family.
Park and Choi, who first met as theater students at Chung-Ang University, began dating in 2017. The two officially went public with their relationship in 2018 before tying the knot in a star-studded ceremony in Seoul in January 2022.
At the time of the wedding annoucement, Choi described Park as his “savior.”
“I’ve exchanged various emotions with and maintained a meaningful relationship with someone for a long time. She is like a savior to me who taught me without words to smile brightly when I’m happy and to cry out loud when I’m sad,” he said in a letter posted on his fancafe.
The couple welcomed their first child, a boy, in May 2022.
