Liam Hemsworth gets engaged to girlfriend Gabriella Brooks

A wedding is in the books for Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth and model Gabriella Brooks!

Through a romantic Instagram post on Friday, Sept. 12, Brooks, 29, hard-launched her engagement to Hemsworth, 35. She captioned the post with a single white heart emoji.

Her gleaming engagement ring was the star of the photo carousel. The first photo showed the soon-to-wed couple, with Brooks behind Hemsworth, her arms wrapped around him, and her ring front and center.

In the second photo, with sepia undertones, the dazzling sun shone overhead, creating a mesmerizing shot of the ocean and waves breaking on the beach. 

Brooks, who is also Australian, followed that up with the third photo: a simple shot of her left hand on a white sheet, with her engagement ring resting on that finger. 

For some of the couple’s avid followers, the engagement may not have come as a surprise. Hemsworth and Brooks, who are largely private about their relationship, triggered engagement rumors last month when they were on holiday in Ibiza, Spain. Paparazzi photos showed Brooks wearing a diamond ring on her left ring finger.

The couple were in Ibiza with a big group that included Hemsworth’s brothers Chris and Luke, Matt Damon, Taika Waititi, and Rita Ora.

Although Brooks and the The Witcher actor went Instagram official in June 2021, they were linked as early as December 2019, when they were first spotted together at a brunch in Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia. Back then, they were having brunch with Hemsworth’s parents, Craig and Leonie.

Fast-forward to June 2021, when Hemsworth shared a photo of himself with Brooks, as well as his brother Chris and Chris’ wife Elsa Pataky, and Matt Damon with Matt’s wife Luciana Barroso, attending the Gold Dinner 2021 in Sydney.

Previously, Hemsworth was married to Miley Cyrus for eight months until their split in June 2019.
