Kris Aquino has shared a new life update as son Bimby turned 17, fearing she won't make it to her son's birthday next year.

The Queen of All Media on Instagram said that she has not shared a lot with her followers about her current state, "primarily because my news has mostly been sad." Her last update on social media was on February 14, her birthday.

"April 19, 2007 [I] gave birth to my living guardian angel," she started. "In the past month with kuya [J]osh back in the [Philippines], and because of several vaccines [I] needed to be given- [B]imb kept me company while [I] quarantined."

She said that she didn't want to ruin the mood but thinks she owes it to everyone praying for her family the truth.

Kris continued her post with a heartfelt message to her second-born child, who turned a year older on Friday.

"To [B]imb, I'm keeping the promise [I] made to you- September 28, 2018, when we first knew there was something scary about my sudden weight loss and my complete blood test result.

"I'm sorry for showing weakness yesterday when [I] cried nonstop because of my fear that [I] may not be around to be with you on your 18th birthday," she said.

Kris realized she hadn't been appreciative enough. Even though things weren't perfect, she hadn't focused on the positive aspects, like Bimby maturing into a responsible person.

"BECAUSE you've matured so much and you're always ready to help my nurses, and though [I] know you're also freaked, you still show CALM & absolute FAITH in God when my BP and heart rate reach scary high numbers," she continued. "No matter how much physical pain [I] endure daily- my heart overflows with love because of your caring, selfless, unconditional LOVE."

"My one wish is for your character to remain STRONG, your values and integrity stay ADMIRABLE, your respectful and polite manner UNCHANGED, and your passion for learning will continue to inspire you to make the most of your education.

"I LOVE YOU not only during my lifetime or yours BUT definitely for eternity. You're my greatest achievement because of your capacity to love- this early you've embraced your responsibility to take care of your kuya, and since you were 11 years old, you've been so protective of me. Love doesn't die my [honey], please remember that. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the love of my life," she ended her message.

In the comments section, Kris' celebrity friends and fans showed their support for the media personality and left greetings for Bimby.

Filipino screenwriter Adolfo Alix Jr. wrote: "Bimby is blessed to have you as her mother. No matter what, we know how our mothers will do anything for their children!"

Carla Abellana also wrote: "Happy 17th Birthday, Bimb!!! You are such a blessing."

Actress Jenny Miller shared a greeting for Bimby and offered prayers for her "ninang" Kris. "Pagaling ka pleaseeee," she said.

Last February, Kris revealed that because she has Churg Strauss, she now has cardiomyopathy, a condition that causes her heart muscles to have trouble pumping blood due to inflammation.

"Because of that inflammation, it’s exhausting my heart and causing it to begin to fail and ultimately, please pray with me- sana hindi tuluyang sumuko or mag CARDIAC ARREST," she said.

She also said her "thank yous," "just in case this is the last birthday [I] get to celebrate here on earth."

The multimedia icon is currently battling five life-threatening autoimmune diseases and has been undergoing treatment at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles since June 2022.
