'The Secret Life of My Secretary' star Kim Jae-kyung marries non-showbiz partner
South Korean actress-singer Kim Jae-kyung got married to her non-showbiz partner early this year, her agency confirmed.
Kim's agency, Namoo Actors, made the confirmation amid earlier reports that she had already tied the knot.
"Actress Kim Jae Kyung has met a precious partner and, based on deep trust and affection, tied the knot last summer in a ceremony attended by immediate family members," the agency said. "Kim Jae Kyung’s spouse is a non-celebrity, and out of respect for his privacy, the wedding was held privately."
Namoo Actors noted that Kim "will continue to work hard to repay the love fans have shown her with great acting and projects."
"We ask for your congratulatory messages and warm encouragement as Kim Jae Kyung embarks on a new chapter of her life. Thank you," it added.
On her Instagram Story, Kim shared a photo of her wearing a hanbok, a traditional clothing primarily used in Korean weddings. She's also with her dog.
"Dear all, I’m writing this as a new chapter of my life has begun," the 35-year-old said in the photo's text, as translated by Soompi.
"I hope you will support my desire to write this new chapter with the same vigor, fun, and straightforwardness as always."
She assured her fans that she would do her best "to bring you good news with a new project as soon as possible."
"The weather has gotten much colder, so please take care and avoid catching a cold," she added. "Thank you always, everyone!"
Before becoming an actress, Kim was a member of the girl group Rainbow in 2009. It's known for the songs Gossip Girl, A, Mach, Hoi Hoi, and Tell Me Tell Me.
In 2010, Kim joined the variety television shows Honey Jar and 100 Points Out of 100.
She landed her first leading role in the 2012 drama Monster.
She also has acting credits in Life on Mars, Bad Papa, The Secret Life of My Secretary, The Devil Judge, and Again My Life.
