Sabrina Carpenter, Barry Keoghan call it quits amid cheating rumors—reports
Hollywood couple Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan have allegedly called it quits.
Citing an industry insider, People Magazine said that the couple ended their relationship after a year of dating.
"They are both young and career-focused, so they've decided to take a break," said the insider.
Media outlet Page Six also backed the claims, reporting that an insider told them that the split happened “recently.”
Neither Carpenter nor Keoghan has publicly commented on the matter.
It was in December 2023 when the couple first sparked romance rumors after they were spotted having dinner together. After a month, they seemingly confirmed their score after eagle-eyed social media users saw them sharing a "little kiss" while in an interactive museum in LA.
Even if they avoided publicizing their relationship, the two subtly supported one another's professional pursuits, including Keoghan being spotted in Carpenter's Coachella performance in April.
The Saltburn actor also starred in Carpenter's Please Please Please music video in June, to whom the latter said in an interview with CBS' Sunday Morning, "I, genuinely — like, a not-even-biased opinion — I was like, ‘Who’s the greatest actor that I can find for this music video?’” she recalled in October. “And he was next to me in a chair. And he was so excited about it!"
In August, the former couple's relationship status became uncertain as rumors of a breakup began to circulate. Reports suggested that their relationship had been on-again, off-again for some time.
Adding fuel to the fire, cheating allegations surfaced against Keoghan, involving a "blonde, semi-famous, LA-based influencer." These allegations, circulating in online blind items like Deuxmoi, further contributed to the couple's eventual split.
The post said: "I snooped around a bit out of curiosity and he and his popstar girlfriend called it quits very suddenly less than a week before her final shows in LA after she found out he had been chatting with said influencer behind her back for months in a not-innocent-at-all-way."
However, fans think Keoghan had dispelled the rumors by liking one of Carpenter’s posts on Instagram.
