Dimples Romana gushes over daughter Callie's first day as a pilot: 'Proud of you always'
Dimples Romana beamed with pride as her daughter, Christiana Amanda Lauren "Callie" Romana Ahmee, officially started as a pilot.
On her Instagram account, the actress posted a picture of Callie looking sharp and confident in her uniform during her first day on the job.
"Our then shy, reserved, introverted child, has grown her steady wings and learned how to fly (quite literally), and now she soars and carries the flag of our tiny family out in the world!" Romana wrote in the caption.
"Growing up she was always teased to be too mahiyain, even at one point was called out why she wanted to pursue a male dominated career. And yet years later, here comes our little Callie proving them all wrong," she continued.
But according to Romana, the "best part" was that her daughter was still the same as ever.
"We didn’t even change her one bit. Still reserved and a bit shy but this time showing them all that a girl as young as her can make her own choices, follow her own path and soar high just like any dreamer," she highlighted.
"Our fiercely beautiful Ate. Proud of you always. Dad, Kuya Alonzo, Elio, and I will always be here to cheer you on!" she added.
In the comments section, many of Romana's celebrity friends took the time to congratulate Callie, including Ryan Agoncillo, Iza Calzado, Carla Abellana, and more.
Callie graduated from the Southern Coast University in Australia in April last year with a Bachelor of Business and Enterprise, majoring in Aviation Management.
At the time, Romana expressed her pride in Callie for following her dreams in aviation despite how challenging the road was.
"You didn't stop, you kept moving forward, you kept showing up. And the journey that led up to this moment may not have been easy but nothing worth having ever really is," she said.
Dimples tied the knot with her husband Boyet Ahmee in 2004 and were blessed with three children: Callie, Alonzo Romeo Jose, and Elio Juan Manolo.
