Elizabeth Olsen says she'd be 'happy' to reprise role of Scarlet Witch on one condition

Elizabeth Olsen said that she’d be “happy to come back” to her role as Scarlet Witch if there’s a good way to use her character well.

In her recent interview with FM104, Olsen opened up about her time playing the role of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Scalet Witch, saying that it’s a role she would love to play again.

“It’s a character that I love going back to when there’s a way to use her well, and I think I have been lucky that when I started I was used well,” she said, citing her early portrayal in the Avengers: Age of Ultron

“I think people didn’t know what to do with me for a second there... So, if there’s a good way to use her, I’m always happy to come back,” Olsen added.

In a previous interview upon the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Olsen said she was “nervous and conflicted” when she learned that Scarlet Witch would be the villain in the movie.

“[Because] I hadn’t finished WandaVision yet, but we were almost finished. And I was like, 'Oh my god, how do I make this all work together?'” she previously told Variety.

“We got there; I got there. And it became an amazing opportunity to have people be won over by this woman in WandaVision and feel for her, and then, you know, manipulate them into this film, where they get to be on her side and then feel conflicted themselves.

For his part, MCU’s head Kevin Feige said there’s “so much more to explore” about Scarlet Witch.

“We still haven’t touched on many of her core storylines from the comics. I’d work with Lizzie for another 100 years if we could. Anything’s possible in the multiverse! We’ll have to see,” he said.

Apart from her role in the MCU, Olsen also worked in films and series such as Oldboy, Sorry For Your Loss, and the most recent Love & Death.
