It’s official—Kang Tae-oh is enlisting in the military.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo star Kang Tae-oh revealed that he would be enlisting in the army as an active duty soldier on September 20. The actor made the announcement during his “TikTok Stage Connect: SweeTaeOh” online fan meeting on August 31.

“I was called to fulfill a duty to my country,” Tae-oh said. “Thank you for making such good memories with me, I promise that I will return with a healthy mindset.”

Even so, Tae-oh’s enlistment wouldn’t be painful for fans since filming for his upcoming film Target has reportedly wrapped up. Per Nate, the thriller film also stars Korean actress Shin Hye-sun.

The actor is expected to be discharged from the army in March 2024

Tae-oh has gained worldwide recognition after portraying the role of Lee Jun-ho in the legal drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo. He also appeared in the K-dramas Run On, Doom At Your Service, and My First First Love, among others.
