Jessy Mendiola opened up about her realizations on love as she gave a look at her recently concluded church ceremony with Luis Manzano.

In an Instagram post, the actress marked their third wedding anniversary by sharing some photos from their second wedding.

In the caption, she wrote a quote about marriage not being the "end of the search for love," but being the "end of the search for the person to love."

"The search for ways to love that person has just begun," it read.

Jessy said that being with Luis for almost eight years and being married to him for three years have taught her so many things.

"One of them is that love is not always easy, and that it isn’t supposed to be easy all the time. You have to constantly work hard for it. And that’s okay," she said, adding that she's "choosing to work harder" for her significant other's love and happiness.

"Tulad nga ng sabi ni father, do not chase excitement," she continued, referring to Father Tito Caluag who officiated their second wedding. "Mas importante ang desire. The desire to get married over and over again with that person you chose."

She also pointed out that they have been given their "biggest blessing," their first child Rosie, who they welcomed in January 2023.

"I always say this, kayo lang.. sapat na. I promise to love our family with all my being. I promise to always choose you over and over again even on our hardest days and I promise to protect our peace and happiness. I love you Peanut… And I love you, my howhow. Forever and always," she wrote.

"Happy 3rd anniversary, my love. Thank you for always choosing to love me no matter what. I love you with all my heart," Jessy concluded.

Jessy and Luis tied the knot anew last week in Coron, Palawan. ABS-CBN News reported that the attendees were Manzano’s parents Edu Manzano and Vilma Santos, and his stepfather Ralph Recto. Mendiola’s family was also finally able to attend the big day. (Her mother held a video call during their first wedding.)

They first got married at The Farm in San Benito in Batangas in February 2021 after five years of dating.
