Former The Voice judge Snoop Dogg offered to bring Sofronio Vasquez's mother to the United States in time for the finale. However, the Filipino singer's mother declined the offer.

In a Parade interview, the Season 26 The Voice winner revealed that Snoop's team reached out to him about the offer, which Sofronio discussed with his mother.

"I told her ‘I'm going to ask [my mother],'" he recalled. "'Do you want to be here?' She's like, ‘No, as much as I would like to be there, I'm so concerned about you having this mindset of ‘I have to think about my mom and not the competition,’ so she decided she’d rather stay in the Philippines and just have her moment because she has her moment there."

In the same interview, Sofronio, who received a recording contract and a $100,000 (P5.8 million) prize, expressed his readiness to embark on a music career.

"Moving forward, I'm just so ready to move and get with the record label to have a deep conversation about my music and put it out right away, so that the supporters and the people who I consider family right now as a support are going to be able to listen and to remember the memories that I had," he said.

He added, "[I want to] make music that’s more inspirational and soulful classic songs."

When asked if he has written any songs, Sofronio said he'd like to collaborate with a songwriter, as English isn't his first language.

"I tried writing songs but English is not my first language, so I would really love to hook up with a collaborator. Of course, with Michael Bublé’s idea, he knows who are the perfect people to be connected to and to be talking to. I'm going to trust in them, but, of course, I have a really good vision about my music so I'm so excited to be working on that," he shared.

Sofronio, a four-chair turner in season 26 of The Voice, was a former contestant of It's Showtime's singing competition "Tawag ng Tanghalan" in 2019, finishing in third place.

During the blind audition, Sofronio performed I'm Goin' Down and picked Bublé as his coach.

Sofronio previously shared that if he were to win The Voice, he would use the prize money to bring his Filipina mother to the US to provide her with a "better life and future."
