Enrique Gil has confirmed that he and his girlfriend Liza Soberano are still going strong despite rumors of a LizQuen breakup.

During the April 25 broadcast of TV Patrol, he said they are on good terms and the actress just has a full schedule.

“We’re good, we’re good," Enrique began.

"She’s just really busy with her stuff there (Hollywood). I am going to be visiting her maybe when my schedule clears up. I think she’s coming back here. But yeah, we’re good."

The Forevermore actor added that Liza has his full support "no matter what."

“Because Hope (Liza's real name) is in the US, she is doing her own thing which I am going to support no matter what. I love her to death... I just really support her no matter what. I know it’s hard to go on a new path but I support her nonetheless," Enrique said.

The Alone/Together star admitted, however, that their relationship hasn't been entirely smooth recently "due to different time zones."

“It’s hard. We don’t talk like we used to due to different time zones. But we still keep in touch and she’s good there. She has a team with her there which is really good,” Enrique explained.

As for his recent silence on social media, Enrique explained that there's nothing more to it: "I just really wanna keep quiet."

The actor recently signed an exclusive contract with his home network ABS-CBN for his showbiz comeback.

Liza, meanwhile, has been fulfilling work commitments in the Philippines and the United States since last year. She previously revealed she’s looking to make waves in the international scene as an actress. Her first Hollywood movie project titled Lisa Frankenstein was announced in August 2022.

Even before her viral This is Me vlog, where she bared her true feelings about her showbiz career as a whole, the local star had to clarify in June 2022 that she and Enrique were still together.

The LizQuen loveteam debuted in the teleserye Forevermore in 2014. The two are celebrating their ninth anniversary this year, though they only went public with their romance in 2019.
