The wait is over Jin stans! The "Worldwide Handsome" of K-pop supergroup BTS has just dropped his new solo track "The Astronaut," which will take ARMYs on a ride through the highs of being in love.

This much-anticipated track, released earlier today, Oct. 28, was written by Jin in collaboration with Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, and Will Champion of the British rock band Coldplay.

Norweigan DJ Kygo, as well as Joan La Barbara and Jóhann Jóhannsson also serve as co-writers.

With the lyrics, “When I’m with you, there is no one else / I get heaven to myself,” the five-minute single is a manifestation of Jin's love for ARMY. Meanwhile, Coldplay's signature music with echoing vocals—combined with Jin's gentle voice—sets off the chill vibe of the sweet track.

Its whimsical video begins with Jin landing on Earth through a ravaged alien spaceship, with Coldplay and Martin's son Moses making their cameo along the way.

The fresh track marks the second time BTS teamed up with Coldplay, following their song "My Universe" which was released in September 2021. "The Astronaut" is also a nod to their first collaboration, with its first line that goes, “An unending history / Oh, you became my universe / The story of us.”

Its release comes weeks after BTS's talent agency BIGHIT MUSIC announced that the globally-acclaimed boy group will enlist in South Korea's military, starting with Jin. They are set to reconvene three years after in 2025.
