The National Bureau of Investigation has issued a subpoena to beauty queen Michelle Dee over allegations of assault and illegal detention by Rhian Ramos' driver.

Dee's legal representative, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque confirmed that their office received the subpoena last week.

“We received the subpoena last week. The subpoena was sent to our law office and not to Michelle because at the onset we filed an entry of appearance so that all notices to Michelle will be sent to our office,” her statement read, per ABS-CBN News report.

Abraham-Garduque emphasized that Dee will comply with the issued subpoena.

“We understand that part of the case build-up and investigation of the NBI is to send the subpoena to the respondents so that their side can be heard on this matter also. We will comply with the subpoena and will subpoena Michelle’s sworn statement regarding the complaint of Rhian’s driver,” she added.

She also shared an update on the qualified theft complaint that Dee filed against the driver known as “Totoy.” He has likewise been served a subpoena.

“Nareceive na rin ni alias 'Totoy' ang subpoena ng Office of the City Prosecutor of Makati para pasagutin siya sa kasong ito,” she said.

She added that the hearing yesterday was intended for the submission of alias Totoy’s counter-affidavit, but he only requested an extension to file it.

“Yesterday was the supposed hearing for the submission of Alyas Totoy’s counter affidavit, but he appeared at the hearing and merely asked for an additional period to file his counter affidavit. The fiscal gave him an inextensible period of time of until March 3 to submit his counter affidavit. Otherwise the fiscal will submit the case for resolution,” she continued.

“We are hoping that justice will finally be attained by Michelle in this case on the unlawful taking of alyas 'Totoy' of her personal property to her extreme damage and prejudice,” she concluded.

Dee, along with Ramos and fellow beauty queen Samantha Panlilio, was accused by alias Totoy of detaining and torturing him from Jan. 17 to 19 after he was allegedly blamed for stealing Ramos’ sensitive photos.

Abraham-Garduque had earlier disproved his claims, saying it's "physically impossible," especially since Dee was in Iloilo on the day he said he was detained.

She also pointed out that the driver's medical examination results do not align with his testimony.

Per the outlet, Ramos and Panlilio have also received subpoenas. They have yet to issue a statement regarding the matter.
