HIGHLIGHTS: Miss World 2026 coronation night

The Miss World 2026 coronation night took place on Saturday, Sept. 5, in Vietnam.

A total of 111 candidates competed for the 73rd Miss World title, which eventually went to the Dominican Republic's Joheirry Mola Dominguez.

Spain's Elisabeth Reynés Alabern won 1st runner-up, while Malaysia's Taanusiya Chetty won 2nd runner-up.

Philippines' Asia Rose Simpson finished in the Top 12 of the competition.

Joheirry Mola Dominguez of the Dominican Republic won the highly coveted Miss World 2026 crown.

She was followed by Spain's Elisabeth Reynés Alabern (1st runner-up) and Malaysia's Taanusiya Chetty (2nd runner-up).

The selection committee for this year’s Miss World finals brought together Miss World titleholders, beauty pageant leaders, and other distinguished personalities.

These include Miss World Organization Chairwoman and CEO Julia Morley, Miss World 1975 Wilnelia Merced Forsyth, Miss World 1988 Linda Pétursdóttir, Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska, Miss World 2024 Krystyna Pyszková, Miss World Vietnam Chairwoman Phạm Kim Dung, and Miss Vietnam 1992 Hà Kiều Anh, among others.

In a few hours, they will determine the new Miss World queen.
