Meghan Trainor has apologized for her viral “f—k teachers” comment, saying that she “did not mean that” to all educators.

According to Fox News, the singer recently landed in hot water when she aired her thoughts on school systems in America on her show Workin’ on Motherhood. “F—k that. Everyone on TikTok is,” she said as she talked about opting to homeschool her 2-year-old child named Riley.

Guest Trisha Paytas then opened up about getting bullied by her teachers in her yesteryears, to which Trainor replied: “F—k teachers, dude.”

While she acknowledged that there are educators who are “nice and kind,” the All About That Bass singer drew flak with her controversial statements in her show’s latest episode, with netizens saying they have “lost respect” for her “after her choice words.”

Trainor has said sorry to the teachers she offended in an April 24 TikTok video. "Teachers of TikTok and teachers of the world, I recently said ‘F teachers,’ on the podcast, and it's not how I feel. I was fired up because we were talking about how sending your kid to school, here, in America, is so horrific. And what all of us have to go through, but especially teachers, is not normal and not okay,” she began.

She went on to say that she invited Paytas to take part in her podcast because she “knew her history with her teachers,” adding that she and her husband also got bullied by their educators in the past.

“In that moment, I got angry and said ‘F teachers—F those specific human beings back in the day.' But I did not mean that to all teachers. I love teachers. I fight for teachers. I think they have the hardest job and they're the most underpaid. They're the most unappreciated, when they literally raise all of us," she continued.

"I don't want to make excuses, I'm just so sorry. I'm so sorry to any teachers who I made feel bad. And I will remind myself that my words definitely could have a consequence, and I will be more careful. Love you all so much. I'm so sorry again. Thank you all for helping me," she said.
