Mark Bautista reiterated that while he has yet to fall in love with a woman, he remains open to that idea as well as building a family of his own.

In an interview with journalist Karen Davila, the singer-actor opened up about his coming out journey, five years after revealing he is bisexual.

Talking about his book, Beyond the Mark, he said that it was intended to be “open-ended,” just like his preference in love and dating.

“Kasi open pa rin ako to fall in love with a girl, kasi gusto ko talagang magka-family. Gusto ko magkaanak and all that,” he said.

Mark admitted that he has never fallen in love with a woman yet but is willing to embrace it if someone comes along.

“I’m still open to it na kung may babae na tatanggapin ako and all that, I think I’m still open,” he continued, adding, "Kung mapa-fall ako or ma-in love ako sa isang babae, wala akong problema."

Mark was asked about his thoughts on getting married and building his own family in the latter part of the vlog. To which, he shared he realized he wants to have someone he could leave all the fruits of his labor to, someone that could take care of him in the future.

“Kasi narealize ko na parang, shocks, tatanda ako, sinong maiiwan? Saan ko ibibigay 'yung pinaghirapan ko?” he said.

"Sino ang mag-aalaga sa akin, basically? Naisip ko rin na dapat siguro may kasama ako or may anak or something,” he added.

Mark came out as bisexual in his book Beyond The Mark in 2018.

His coming out journey wasn’t a smooth process. In a previous interview, he admitted that his decision affected not only his career but also some of his relationships with friends. Despite this, he said he couldn't be more grateful to have his family, who “never questioned” and “judged” him for who he is.

“Never silang nagtanong, never sila nag-question, never silang nag-judge. Madali sa kanila na tanggapin,” he said, adding that deciding to come out was “the best decision” he has ever made.

“Sobrang iba ang pakiramdam, no regrets,” he said.
