Angel Locsin recovers hacked X account: 'Totoo na 'to'
Angel Locsin has finally recovered her X account after it was hacked.
"Hello everyone long time no chat," the actress wrote in a tweet. " I just wanna say I have recovered my X account (totoo na 'to, [promise])."
She thanked the platform and concerned social media users who assisted her in getting her page back.
"I miss you all and ingat lagi," she added.
In another tweet, Locsin reassured fans that her tweet was legit by tagging her husband Neil Arce and asked him to confirm that her X account has been recovered. "Mahal ko, paki confirm," she said.
Arce then shared her post and, in a separate tweet, quoted her, saying, "[A]ccount recovered!"
He also wrote about it in an Instagram Story. "Account of Angel has been retrieved!"
Locsin, who has been on a social media hiatus, wrote her last tweet on Aug. 1, 2022. But on Jan. 13, she rose out of nowhere to supposedly promote cryptocurrency. Fans also spotted her positively replying to tweets about billionaire Elon Musk.
Through her official Facebook page's administrators, Locsin warned her fans about the hacker. The 39-year-old actress also shared screenshots of her account's unusual tweets, including a false declaration that she wasn't hacked.
Afterward, the hacker posing as Locsin claimed in a tweet that the account had been retrieved. Arce, however, dismissed it as false.
Locsin's account, created in 2009, has over 12.3 million followers as of writing.
The local star last appeared on television in 2019, in ABS-CBN's teleserye The General's Daughter.
