Billy Crawford and his dance partner Fauve Hautot are another step closer to emerging as the grand winners of this year’s edition of Danse avec les Stars—France’s version of dance competition Dancing with the Stars.

In its latest episode that aired on Saturday, Nov. 5, the two were again the top scorers of both segments of the tilt, which made them the first to qualify for the final round.

Billy and his dance partner got the “best score of the season” with 39 points in their first dance performance of Let’s Get It Started by Maneskin before taking the lead yet again with 35 points in their second, accompanied by the song Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.

This feat, the two achieved even with Billy’s back injury. “You made us forget that you had back pain,” one of the judges told the local star after their stunning number. To which, he jokingly replied: “The back? I don’t know what it is anymore.”

Billy announced his participation in the 12th season of the dance contest in July.

It’s been a successful journey for him and his dance partner since its first episode that premiered in September, where they also received a standing ovation from the judges. The dance duo has been delighting in consecutive wins and top scores since the start of the tilt.
