Kris Aquino on ‘scary red flag’ in her latest medical results: ‘I surrender all to God’
Kris Aquino revealed that her latest medical results showed a “scary red flag” that’s not related to her autoimmune diseases.
The “Queen of All Media” shared a health update on Instagram on Monday, Feb. 13 without going into much detail. “I promised myself after reading my latest results that had one unexpected and admittedly scary red flag (not autoimmune-related) after iniyak ko na, tama na,” she wrote in a post.
“If ever that borderline number signals early detection, I am still blessed. In faith, I surrender all to God,” she added.
Kris said she has a “wonderful support system” including her sons Josh and Bimb as well as her old friends and new friends in the United States, where she has been staying since June last year to get treatment for her multiple autoimmune diseases.
Thanking everyone who has continued to pray for her during this difficult time, she maintained that she has strong faith that things will get better. “Sa dami niyong nagdarasal for me, kung umabot na kailangan ng mas aggressive na treatment (at a higher dosage, it’s considered chemotherapy), imposibleng hindi tayo pagbibigyan ng ating Mahal na Ama.”
Kris, who is turning a year older on Feb. 14, stressed she could only turn out grateful for receiving the “best gift” that anyone in her situation could ask for: prayers. “To all, a #lovelovelove day ahead of you, from the very thankful soon-to-be 52-year-old birthday girl.”
Early this month, Kris shared that she has found a new doctor that she described as the “best,” giving her “renewed confidence” in getting better.
In December, she talked about her “four diagnosed autoimmune ailments (two are life-threatening) and a highly likely fifth” due to her “distinct physical manifestations.”
She previously shared that she’s signed up in a hospital’s center for people who have rare and undiagnosed illnesses as she continues to undergo important tests and procedures for her health.
She revealed she will also be admitted early this year for further testing as the coordinator described her as a “challenge” since she’s allergic to various types of medicine, including steroids. “Pang-case study daw ako—one person with multiple autoimmune conditions and over 100 known allergic or adverse reactions to medication,” she explained at the time.
