Is the world healing? Julia Barretto and Bea Alonzo spotted talking at Mr. M's party

A recent viral video has surfaced showing Julia Barretto and Bea Alonzo at a party, seemingly having a good time together.

In a video captured during a tribute celebration of former ABS CBN's talent agency head, Johnny Manahan, popularly known as Mr. M, the two actresses are seen interacting with each other while sipping a drink on Saturday.

Bea responded with a laugh when Julia is heard muttering something to the former.

Despite the seemingly friendly vibes in the video, some social media users raised doubts, suggesting the interaction might be fake.

"If this is recent, just wow. time heals nga naman. They will never forget but you can see how genuine they are, plastikan? We don't know what happened behind closed doors, tbh," an X user wrote.

"Plastikan lang yan, alangan naman magsabunutan diba?" another user said.

Julia-Bea Feud

The feud started when Bea claimed that her ex-boyfriend Gerald Anderson "ghosted" her one day. Later, rumors of a budding relationship between Gerald and his co-star Julia started going around.

Eagle-eyed social media users also saw that Bea had "liked" an Instagram picture of the two strolling beside each other outside a pub where they were attending actor Rayver Cruz's birthday celebration.

Bea appeared on Tonight With Boy Abunda for an interview in which she claimed that she and Gerald were not apart during the alleged cheating. 

Gerald then said in a different interview that he and Bea broke up without anybody else's involvement.

In a dispute that has portrayed her as the third party in the split between the former couple, Julia spoke up for herself to brush off the cheating rumors.

"Bea, you wanted to keep your hands clean by not mentioning me in your controversial post, but with a click of your finger, in your sly way, you have charged everybody to destroy me FOR YOU," she wrote in a now-deleted IG post.

Julia also accused Bea of bullying her in the said post, saying, "You are a woman of great influence and following. You could have used that power to promote strength and grace in women, but instead, you've used that to promote social media irresponsibility. That is downright bullying."

"You can play victim all you want, but I refuse to be your victim," Julia continued.

Julia and Gerald ignited dating rumors a few months after their 2019 movie Between Maybes came out. The actor eventually confirmed their relationship in an interview in March 2021.

Meanwhile, Bea started dating Dominic Roque. But on Feb. 11, 2024, the two confirmed that they had called off their engagement.
