Fans go off on Twitter after Zendaya shuts down pregnancy rumors
Here's the thing: Zendaya is NOT pregnant.
Zendaya's fans were pranked into believing that she's expecting after a fan-created TikTok went viral.
"See now, this is why I stay off Twitter," the actress wrote in her Instagram story. "Just making stuff up for no reason…weekly."
The made-up "stuff" she was referring to was a manipulated Instagram post that was made to look like Zendaya posted an ultrasound. The caption said: "I love you. Halfway there," tagging her boyfriend Tom Holland. The TikTok video then cuts to a video of Kris Jenner dancing to Lady Marmalade, saying that "you just got Krissed!"
This new prank is called getting "Krissed" or "Krissing," which is meant to make people fall into the trap of fake Tiktoks. The video will then reveal a dancing video of The Kardashians star at the end to signify that the whole thing is just a prank.
After the Euphoria actress subtly denied the rumors, fans expressed their relief and concern on Twitter.
Relieved by the news that Zendaya has shut down the rumors, a netizen tweeted: "God is good."

A major contributor to the rumor spread is TikTok user @robairesbussy. Five days ago, the user uploaded a TikTok video with a picture of Zendaya photoshopped with a baby bump. It was captioned, "WAIT SINCE WHEN WAS ZENDAYA PREGNANT" but was revealed to be a part of the #Krissed prank. It went viral and garnered 14K likes on the platform.

TikTok user Ryan Roberts also posted a deceiving video that received 18.1K likes on the app. It showed a post from Zendaya’s Instagram account that had a manipulated fetus sonogram, which turned out to be another #Krissed prank.

With disinformation being more evident across social media apps, Twitter users @sunmoonmarslove and @iaamjihane lamented how “ridiculous” the rumors were. The former even agreed with Zendaya’s choice of staying off the app, while the latter found the false gossip “not funny.”
She’s absolutely right for saying off Twitter. These rumours are pathetic and the number of tweets regarding her relationship with Tom is ridiculous. Let them live.

Now that the issue has been debunked by the actress herself, @_iCarol_ makes a valuable point: “Let’s not keep making up rumors.”
