Fil-Am comedian Jo Koy looked back at his recent Golden Globes stint anew as he had his first stand-up show since the awards night.

A reporter from entertainment outlet Variety was able to attend his set in St. Louis, where Jo Koy was met with applause as he took the stage.

Talking about his Golden Globes performance, the comedian joked that the crowd had a "lot [of] marshmallows" and that they were "soft."

"Lot [of] marshmallows, man. They're delicious, but goddamn, they're soft," Jo Koy said.

"I just come from a different time. I see the changes that are happening. I get it, but goddamn, can we f**king laugh at ourselves," he continued, getting applause from the St. Louis crowd, as per Variety. One person in the audience reportedly yelled, "F**k 'em!" in response.

Jo Koy continued to say that he had a feeling none of those in attendance at his regular stand-up set watched the Golden Globes—something he was "kinda happy" about.

"Oh my god. It feels good to live in this country. we get to say what we want to say. Don't be apologetic about it at all. Be able to... speak your mind," he continued.

The comedian continued to poke fun at Los Angeles and was said to be enjoying himself. "I haven't laughed in four days," he told the audience.

Jo Koy hosted the 81st Golden Globes on Jan. 8 (Philippine time) and was met with negative reviews. He shared that he only got the gig 10 days before the event, leaving little room for him and his team to prepare.

"It's a tough room. It was a hard job... Hosting is just a tough gig," he earlier told GMA3: What You Need to Know.

His opening monologue featured jokes about Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan's penis size, Barbie being a movie about a plastic doll with "big boobies," and a jab at the Golden Globes for having lesser cutaways to Taylor Swift than the National Football League.
