Donita Rose's husband Felson Palad opened up about his decision to stay a virgin until they tied the knot.

In case you missed it, Donita made the rounds on social media after she recalled in an episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda how Felson admitted to her that he had never been intimate with a woman before. She said his revelation made her happy because it was one of the things she was looking for in a man.

Reacting to the mixed reactions he has received following Donita's interview, Felson pointed out that Donita articulated her thoughts appropriately for the occasion before confirming that he was indeed a virgin when he married the actress at the age of 38.

"Yes, I was indeed a virgin when my wife and I tied the knot. While some might doubt my claim, I do not aim to prove my virginity; that would be irrelevant," he wrote. "I openly acknowledge that I had my share of youthful indiscretions, but one thing I upheld was the sanctity of the marital bond."

"We firmly believe in educating the youth about the sacred and blessed nature of sex within the confines of marriage, recognizing it as a divine gift," he added.

Felson went on to say that Donita's purpose for sharing their story was not to humiliate him in any way.

"I kindly request that if you find my wife’s statement discomforting, please refrain from criticism. She did not intend to embarrass me; rather, she spoke the truth and depicted our marriage and faith in God with integrity. Our ultimate aspiration is for others to witness the faithfulness of God in our lives," he ended.

In the comments section, many praised Felson for his commitment to remaining celibate until he found the right one.

"Your marriage has a purpose that will help other people especially the younger generations, so it’s ok to be confident on who you really are. Don’t mind other people who ridiculed you for choosing what’s best for you and your relationship with God," one user wrote.

Another one commented, "Your commitment to sanctity is amazing! They couldn't believe a man at your age can do that."

Donita and Felson got engaged in May 2022 and got married in September that year. Before Felson, the former Umagang Kay Ganda host tied the knot with Eric Valderama in 2003 but separated in 2016. They share a child named Joshua Paul.
