Alexa Miro reveals real score with rumored boyfriend Sandro Marcos
Actress Alexa Miro clarified that presidential son Sandro Marcos is not her suitor, much less her boyfriend.
"No, hindi siya nanliligaw. Kami, like what I said in all of my past interviews, he's one of my closest friends," Miro said in an interview on Updated with Nelson Canlas uploaded on Tuesday, Aug. 15.
"Si Cong. naman, marami talaga siyang kaibigang babae, as in marami kami sa group. But I guess because I'm the fresh face, that's what the people latched on," the Eat Bulaga! host said.
The 28-year-old shared that she and Marcos "trust each other" with their problems as she noted that the Ilocos Norte 1st District representative also treats his other friends the same way.
"We really have each other's backs and ganoon kami ni Cong. (Marcos)," Miro added.
Miro opened up about the bashing she received when the dating rumors circulated on social media. "Siguro before, when I mentioned bashers, I didn't really have any until the news broke out. Dun nagsimula yung bashers. I suddenly got judged for my entire personality, kung sino ako sa tingin sa kanila," she recalled, adding that she spent around two weeks "crying in the shower" over it.
"Hindi ko siya naiintindihan before, but now I just choose to not even try to understand it because we all have our own opinions, anyway, and nothing that anyone can say will really change who you are," she continued.
Dating speculations between the two sparked in June last year, when a Facebook Live of Vice President Sara Duterte’s inauguration captured a quick chat between Sandro and Bacoor Representative Lani Mercado.
Mercado can be heard telling him, “Hello, Sandro. Ang girlfriend mo pala is taga-Bacoor. Nakuwento ni Bryan (Revilla) sa akin," to which he replied, “Yes, but atin-atin lang ‘yan, ha.” Miro hails from Bacoor.
They were also spotted together at the VIP area of Marina Bay Street Circuit during the F1 Grand Prix in Singapore.
