Angelica Lopez, Alexie Brooks, and Anne Diaz win inaugural Reina Filipinas pageant
Reina Filipinas just crowned its first-ever queens!
Pageant veterans Angelica Lopez of Palawan, Alexie Brooks of Iloilo City, and Anne Diaz of Manila took home the inaugural Reina Filipinas titles during the coronation night on Aug. 7.
Lopez stood out throughout the competition with strong performances, earning the Reina Filipinas Grand International crown. During the question-and-answer portion, she was asked, "There are undeniably so many pageants already. What space do you hope Reina Filipinas would occupy?"
She answered, "I understand that every pageant serves a purpose, and so do Reina Filipinas. Here, they have business, which gives the women the opportunity to learn new skills, to be more empowered, and to elevate as a person, whether it be in sports, entertainment, and business. It's actually a good and empowering platform and a win-win situation for all, so that both can move ahead towards the direction of progress, development, and productivity."
She took home the Best in Swimsuit award, along with the Reina Pasarela and Reina Urban Smiles titles.
Lopez is no stranger to the pageant stage, having previously represented the Philippines at Miss Asia Global 2022, Miss Universe Philippines 2022, and Miss International 2024.
Meanwhile, Brooks and Diaz were crowned Reina Filipinas - MGI All Stars. They will represent the Philippines in the second edition of the international pageant.
Brooks took home special awards including Reina KSerene and Best in Evening Gown. During the Q&A, she highlighted that the inaugural pageant can be a "new hope" that change the standard of beauty.
Prior to Reina Filipinas, she competed in Miss Universe Philippines 2024 before winning the Miss Eco International 2025 crown.
Finally, Diaz, the sole trans woman in the pageant, underscored in the Q&A how the inaugural pageant embodies "equality." She previously represented the country at Miss International Queen 2025 in Thailand and finished in the Top 6. She also competed at the Miss Q&A competition on the noontime show It’s Showtime, where she was crowned the “Queen of the Multibeks.”
The other winners were Cleopatra Barrera, who was named first runner-up; Isabelle Ortega, who placed second runner-up; Zeah Nestle Pala, who placed third runner-up; and Luisa Benavides, who placed fourth runner-up.
Lopez will represent the Philippines at Miss Grand International in October, while Brooks and Diaz will represent the country at MGI All-Star in December.
