Ella Pangilinan slams 'reputable' news sites reporting rumors
Ella Pangilinan called out "reputable" news outlets for writing articles about "unverified" information.
On her Instagram stories, daughter of Maricel Laxa and Anthony Pangilinan, posted a picture of her dog with a brief caption, slamming unnamed news sites for entertaining rumors.
"Something I find really crazy about supposedly reputable Philippines news outlets is that they can make 'news' out of chismis or stories that are entirely untrue. How is that responsible journalism?" Ella captioned her story.
While Ella did not specify what the rumor is, her story comes after showbiz insider Ogie Diaz released a vlog, claiming that her brother Donny Pangilinan recently took an interest in Kathryn Bernardo and attempted to court her after her infamous breakup.
"How true—patanong na lang kasi baka naman i-deny tayo—na minsan pala ay pinormahan nitong young actor si Kathryn? As in niligawan," Ogie said.
"'Yun 'yung nakarating lang sa akin. Ngayon, na kay Donny na 'yan kung gusto niyang aminin na minsan pinormahan or niligawan niya si Kathryn, kaya lang naudlot," he added.
Donny's relationship with Kathryn previously made headlines when he was caught on video talking to the actress and offering her a drink while Kathryn was dancing with another guest during the wedding reception of Robi Domingo and Maiqui Pineda. However, he stressed that the two of them are nothing more than friends.
Apart from him, actors Alden Richards and Jericho Rosales were also recently linked to the actress by Ogie in a separate vlog.
"According to my source sa kampo ni Kathryn, nanliligaw na nga si Alden kay Kathryn. Makikita naman daw sa kanilang body language na nanliligaw na nga si Alden," Ogie said. "Ang sabi rin sa’kin ng aking source ay nanliligaw rin daw si Jericho Rosales kay Kathryn Bernardo."
"Gustong-gusto raw ng pamilya ni Kathryn si Alden, lalo na kay Mommy Min. Si Alden ay isang negosyante, siya ay financially stable, responsable. Kaya natutuwa daw kay Alden ang pamilya ni Kathryn kasi lahat ng gusto nila sa isang lalaki ay pino-possess niya," he continued.
Alden was previously asked by GMA News’ 24 Oras about the real score between him and Kathryn after his sweet surprise during her birthday celebration, to which he simply answered, "What you see is what you get."
Jericho, on the other hand, said that "it was too early" for him to find new love again this 2024.
