Kim Seon Ho, Bae Suzy reportedly reuniting for new drama, replacing ex-couple Han So Hee, Ryu Jun Yeol
South Korean stars Kim Seon Ho and Bae Suzy are in talks to reunite for the upcoming series titled Delusion, according to a report.
Korean media outlet Soompi reported that the actor's agency SALT Entertainment confirmed that he received an offer to star in Delusion, "and he is currently in talks to appear, with a favorable outlook.”
An adaptation of the webtoon of the same name, Delusion is a mystery thriller set in 1935 Gyeongseong and 19th-century Shanghai. It tells the story of artist Yun Iho, who is commissioned to paint a portrait of a mysterious woman named Song Jeong Hwa, only to find himself falling under her spell gradually.
Former celebrity couple Han Soo Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol were supposed to be the lead stars of the series, but their breakup last March after a two-week relationship led to their departure from the project.
Production company SHOWBOX, however, said production of the film "will proceed as is."
Last July, Suzy was tapped to play Song Jeong Hwa, with SHOWBOX saying she was actually the first one to receive an offer for the role. Casting didn't work out at the time amid conflicts in schedule.
But now, everything might just be in place for the two stars.
Ho and Suzy previously starred in the hit K-drama Start Up, which made Ho rise to fame. He gained more recognition through the Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and the movie The Childe.
Suzy, meanwhile, appeared in several series, including Gu Family Book, Uncontrollably Fond, While You Were Sleeping, Vagabond, Anna, and Doona!. Her film debut was in Architecture 101.
