A Filipino American beauty queen hailing from Arlee, Montana proved that age is just a number after she was crowned the newest Mrs. Grand International titleholder at 61 years old.

Estela Fullerton was honored with the title during the global competition held on from Nov. 23 to 28 in Myanmar.

On her Facebook account, the beauty queen expressed her gratitude for the "extraordinary opportunity" that God bestowed on her, writing, "The 2024 journey promises to be a remarkable year, much like 2003, when I embarked on a first-class flight to a land of new beginnings."

"My heartfelt appreciation goes to my beloved husband, Hal Fullerton, for his unwavering support and instrumental role in my life, even when faced with adversity. I am forever thankful," she continued.

She went on to encourage other women to stay strong in pursuing their dreams.

"To all women who have faced challenges, I urge you to rise above, stand tall, and live life to the fullest, while remaining humble and kind to all," she highlighted.

According to Lake County Leader, Fullerton had moved to Arlee in 2003 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2006. Despite this, she didn't forget her roots as she shared that she had busied herself "sponsoring 50 children in the Philippines by providing school supplies" six years ago.

"This experience ignited a passion within me to do more for the community and give back to my home country," she said.

Moreover, she founded the Filipino American Montana Organization, which focuses on providing educational assistance to underprivileged children and supporting women in need.

She further serves as vice president and co-founder of the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce, one of the board of directors of the Filipino American Association of the Greater Inland Empire, and a member of the Coalition of Filipino American Chambers of Commerce.

According to the news outlet, Fullerton now plans to use her title to "empower married women and leverage our platforms for social good" as well as to "make a positive impact in the lives of those who need it most."
