Queens reunited: Pia Wurtzbach and Ariadna Gutierrez meet again
It's the reunion you never expected! Pageant rivals Pia Wurtzbach and Colombian model Ariadna Gutierrez have reunited after eight years for Milan Fashion Week.
In Pia's recent Instagram post, she shared pictures of them together walking side by side on the streets of Milan. She captioned it: "The reunion you’ve all been waiting for. [wink emoji]"
In 2015, Pia and Ariadna made headlines when Miss Universe host Steve Harvey mistakenly announced Ariadna as the winner of the pageant, only to take it back and give the title to Pia.
Fellow beauty queens and fans couldn't believe their eyes seeing the images. Many commented on Pia's post, expressing their excitement and happiness for the two women.
Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Tebow called the reunion "powerful," while Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere and Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza simply said they "love" it.
Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez, on the other hand, gushed, "When the universe aligns!!"
Miss Grand Colombia 2023 Maria Alejandra Lopez Perez also said: "Uthhhhhggg ICANT. this is true HUMANITY, this is womanhood sisterhood. love you both! So admirable!!! Role models for any human being."
On her IG stories, Ariadna also uploaded two photos of them together. In the first post, the Colombian beauty queen wrote: "It's been almost 8 years since the last time we were together. So happy to see you again @piawurtzbach."
She also shared another photo with the text "When time makes sure you meet the right people once again @piawurtzback."
Pia reposted it saying, "I woke up and said 'let's attract good things today!' and this queen came my way. What a beautiful surprise! Ary your aura is glowing."
The 2015 competition with Pia and Ariadna was voted as the top Miss Universe crowning moment of all time by pageant fanatics.
