NMIXX, JYP Entertainment’s newest girl group, is ready to follow in their seniors’ footsteps with their highly-anticipated debut.

NMIXX, composed of members Haewon, Lily, Sullyoon, Jinni, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin, made a strong entrance into the K-pop industry with their debut title track O.O. The seven-member girl group’s first music video and EP were released on Tuesday, Feb. 22.

It’s just a teaser / Hoot / Watch me coming soon / Don’t be surprised yet / Calm down, down, down,” Bae sang in the track’s verse.

JYP Entertainment founder and singer-songwriter J. Y. Park said in a Bandwagon Asia report that NMIXX consists of “all-rounders who are not limited to a specific position.” He also described the girl group as a “7-7-7 all ace group with seven vocals, seven dancers, and seven visual members.”

The entertainment agency is known for producing some of the biggest girl groups including Wonder Girls, Miss A, TWICE, ITZY, and NiziU. JYP is also home to popular K-pop acts Stray Kids and 2PM, among others.

NMIXX is one of the rookie debuts that K-pop fans are looking forward to in 2022, with the members gaining attention on social media since mid-2021.

Sadly, NMIXX’s debut showcase has been postponed to March 1 after Bae and Kyujin tested positive for COVID-19.
