Pokwang seemingly reacted to Lee O’Brian’s move to submit a counter affidavit in response to the petition for deportation she filed against him.

On Tuesday, June 27, a netizen commented on one of her Instagram posts, saying: “Sabi ni kano, sana daw, ‘wag tignan ang kasikatan mo ng immigration para pumanig sa’yo. He believes daw na pakikinggan ng immigration ang side niya. Overstay siya kaya dapat, deport siya.”

To which, Pokwang replied: “Kapal ng mukha, diba? Pinangungunahan ang batas natin?”

While they did not specify Lee’s name in their exchange, this came after the actor filed his reply to the deportation complaint on Monday, June 26. In an interview shared by entertainment reporter MJ Marfori on Instagram on the same day, the actor appealed to the Philippine government and the Bureau of Immigration to look at the case in line with his deportation and visa cancellation “fairly and with justice” as he noted that the complainant is “very well-known” and “very influential” in the country.

Pokwang filed the petition, along with her legal counsel Atty. Ralph Calinisan, on June 13. "Kailangan nating mabigyan ng leksyon 'yung mga taong nag-aabuso sa batas natin, sa karapatan ng bawat babae, ng bawat nanay," she told Marfori in an interview, without getting into much detail on the matter.

Marfori said in an Instagram post that Pokwang's camp "claims that O'Brian was using a tourist visa while working in the country for the past eight years."

The comedian separated from Lee in November 2021. They share a child named Malia.

While she initially said they were on good terms, the local star later revealed in a February interview with Boy Abunda that a business problem led to their fallout and that they were no longer speaking to each other even before their confrontation.
