Awra Briguela spoke candidly on her feelings about her body as a trans woman.

On her Instagram account, the Filipino comedian and actress delighted her fans with a series of pictures of herself wearing a green see-through dress that shows off her toned physique.

In the caption, Awra decided to address those who have been wondering about her appearance, writing, "Since a lot of y’all are confused or curious why I chose to have this body of mine, it is definitely a choice, my choice."

While she acknowledged that she has the option to take pills and undergo hormone replacement therapy to make herself more feminine, she explained that she chooses not to.

"Why? ‘Cuz I’m still loving the fact that I can freely express both my masculine and feminine side and if you think that your words can hurt me having this body well think again," Awra stressed.

"I was showered with love growing up so I didn’t struggle that much embracing my flaws. You also have the choice, always," she continued.

The local star ended her message by encouraging her followers to "respect everyone’s choice" and to "be kind as well."

In the comments section, many social media users boosted her confidence even more by showering her with positive messages.

"We love you [your] perfection and imperfections. Slay always queen," one user wrote.

Another commented, "You make me confident Awra, nae-express ko yung gender indentity sa pagsusuot ng girl and boy na damit."

Awra uses she and her pronouns and is known to be vocal about her stance against homophobic comments regarding her body.

Back in 2023, she called out online users who were making rude comments about her bikini photos when she was vacationing in La Union.

"Kaya hindi na ako nagamit ng Facebook eh, napakadaming perfect na akala mo ang popogi at ang gaganda nila. Jusko," Awra wrote on X as she shared a screenshot of a news article about his bikini pictures being compared to Nadine Lustre's.

In a separate post, the actress reiterated: "Just facts: Unattractive men are the homophobic ones.. I asked why?! Maybe because they will never accept the truth.. Truth that I look goodhmm great and better than they will ever be."
