'30 is not old!': Julia Fox gets real about people saying she doesn't look her age
Turning 30 isnt the end of the world—and more celebs are speaking up against it.
In a recent TikTok Q&A, Uncut Gems star Julia Fox spoke out about those saying that she looks great and doesn't look like she's 30 years old by saying that, well, she actually does!
"I will only address this comment because you're right! Thirty is not old," the 32-year-old exclaimed, before delving into more personal matters on becoming the big 3-0.
"But I literally cried on my 27th birthday because I could no longer say mid-twenties. I'd officially be in my late twenties. So this is how deep this sh--t is for women."
"In the entertainment industry, 30 is fucking considered old," she added.
She also shared that she has had experiences with men telling her that she looks "looks good for her age," and that she eventually chooses to stop talking to them because of the veiled insult against older women.
Julia wouldn't be the first famous name that's called out the entertainment industry for the demands of women turning 30.
During an October 2022 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Taylor Swift made mentioned that she was a "geriatric" pop star before the release of her latest album, Midnights.
“I’m 32,” Swift sharewd. “So we’re considered geriatric pop stars. They start trying to put us out to pasture at 25."
"I’m just happy to be here," the songstress quipped.
