LOOK: TWICE's Dahyun, Jung Jinyoung in first look at 'You Are the Apple of My Eye'
TWICE's Dahyun is in her actress era!
South Korean production company Studio Take has released a first look at its upcoming film You Are the Apple of My Eye starring the popular girl group member and singer-actor Jung Jinyoung.
In the stills, the two stars show off their chemistry as they're seated in a classroom wearing school uniforms.
"Just looking at the stills, you can feel the refreshing vibe," Studio Take wrote in the caption. "The thrilling first love story they'll portray is coming soon."
Jinyoung stars as Jinwoo, a guy who "loves to have fun," as per the production company. Meanwhile, Dahyun plays "shy but determined" Sunah.
"I am happy to have been cast in a project that I have affection for. I will do my best to convey the emotions of the original film," Jinyoung said as per Soompi.
"It is an honor to be able to greet viewers through the big screen with a great project. I am very excited, and I will work hard to produce a great project with the best collaboration with my senior actors," Dahyun said.
The upcoming movie is based on the Taiwanese coming-of-age story of the same name released in 2011. The earlier version starred Ko Chen-tung and Michelle Chen as the lead characters and followed the lives of a troublemaker and a model student from their days in school to 15 years later.
Besides the upcoming film, Dahyun will also star in another film titled Sprint. She's also known for being a member of girl group TWICE and their hit songs What is Love?, Feel Special, Fancy, TT, and more.
On the other hand, Jinyoung was a former member of boy group B1A4 and has acted in TV and film projects, including Love in the Moonlight, If We Were a Season, My First Love, and Sweet Home.
