TWICE shared more about their music plans and their bond with Filo ONCEs during their fan meet.

Eight months after their Ready To Be show in Bulacan, the K-pop girl group returned to the Philippines for their TWICE X Oishi Snacktacular fan meet held at SM Mall of Asia on June 1.

During the press conference ahead of the show, the girls talked about their favorite backstage scenes, music plans, and favorite memories with ONCEs.

The group, having debuted in 2015, has grown with its fandom globally over the years. They have also earned numerous awards, including the Breakthrough Award in Billboard Women in Music in 2023. With these feats, they were asked about their other goals in music.

“Aside from moving away from the fact that there [are] ranks, or the numbers [we] have to achieve, [we] heard that there are a lot of people [who] have received support and strength from the music of TWICE, and so [our] next challenge is how to give Once [fresh] music for them to have even more strength and passion in their lives,” Jihyo said through an interpreter.

They added that they are grateful that their recent mini album, With YOU-th, landed a spot in the Billboard 200 chart globally, saying they will prepare for a cooler, fresher, and better album to reach the Hot 100 and land in the top 1 spot.

OT9 for Filipino ONCEs

The recently concluded fan meet marks the third time the group has visited the country. Their first visit was during their Twicelights world tour last June 2019, followed by the Ready To Be show in Bulacan in September 2023.

Host Robi Domingo asked the group what their “O Wow O Wow” moment is so far in the country, Jeongyeon answered that it is Filo fans’ passionate support, which she described as “overwhelming” and “touching” since their first visit.

Dahyun seconded this, but for their second show in 2023, since they were able to perform in a bigger venue.

When asked which of their songs they want to dedicate to their fans, the group answered, 21:29 from their eighth extended play Feel Special, which means “Twice for their fans.”

Chaeyoung, who missed the Bulacan show due to health concerns, said she’s happy to have an opportunity to go back to Manila to meet Filo Once again.

TWICE is a nine-member group consisting of Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Dahyun, Tzuyu, Mina, Sana, Chaeyoung, Momo, and Nayeon. They made a comeback in February with a mini album With YOU-th, which includes the hit track One Spark. They are gearing up for their fifth Japanese album Dive which is set to be released in July.
