Drake reveals why he hasn't gotten married

Drake revealed why he has yet to get married even though he is almost in his 40s.

The Hotline Bling singer shared his thoughts about marriage in his recent guesting on The Really Good Podcast, describing it as a "thing of ancient times."

"I don't know. It seems like a thing of, like, ancient times or something. I think I will eventually," he said.

For Drake, he doesn't think he "can offer somebody what they'd be looking for" at the moment. He also noted that his priority in life right now is his career.

“I don’t wanna get married ’cause like, I just don’t wanna disappoint someone,” he explained, adding that he can't offer consistency to anyone at this point in his life.

In December 2022, the rapper made the rounds online after he had a custom necklace dubbed "Previous Engagements" done. According to famed jeweler Alex Moss, the bling—made with 42 diamonds from engagement rings—serves as a tribute to all the times he thought about proposing "but never did it." The piece was assembled with 351.38 carats of diamonds mounted in 15k white gold. It took about 14 months to complete and was done by hand in New York City.

Drake was previously linked to various stars like Teyana Taylor, Taraji P. Henson, Serena Williams, Rita Ora, Blac Chyna, Amber Rose, Zoe Kravitz, and Bella Hadid.
