AJ Raval opens up about losing her second child
AJ Raval has opened up about the pain she felt when she lost her second child, Aaron.
The actress touched on her grief when she appeared on the May 11 episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
"Sobrang sakit bilang isang ina," the 25-year-old said. "Parang wala pong tamang word para i-describe 'yung naramdaman ko noon."
"Pero hindi siya nawala sa isip ko ever since. Araw-araw, paggising, pagtulog, iniisip ko pa din."
Raval also shared that during the Christmas season, she still buys gifts for Aaron. "Part pa rin po siya."
"Mahal na mahal ko siya [...] Pagdating ng araw, magkikita rin kami," she said tearfully.
In a November 2025 interview with Boy Abunda, Raval revealed that she has five children—three of whom she shares with Aljur Abrenica.
She had her eldest, Ariana, with a different partner when she was 17. Aaron then followed.
Her children with Abrenica include Alkina, Junior, and Abraham.
Raval shared that the past interview gave her family "freedom."
"Sobrang peaceful namin ngayon," she said.
She actually didn't expect her revelations to be received positively. "Expected ko po noon, Tito Boy, bigay ko na lahat noong araw na 'yon. 'Di bali na masira ako, mawalan ng trabaho, mabigyan ko lang ng freedom yung mga anak ko, okay na ako. Pero hindi ko inexpect na ang ganda ng kalalabasan ng interview na yun."
Raval was first romantically linked to Abrenica after the latter's ex-wife, Kylie Padilla, confirmed their breakup in July 2021. Raval later revealed that she's been going out with Abrenica, but denied that she was the reason for their split.
Raval's father Jeric accidentally revealed in a media interview that his daughter and Abrenica share children.
When the actress appeared on Toni Talks, she spoke about wanting freedom for her children.
"Gusto na po namin matapos. Gusto naming maging malaya," Raval said. "Gusto namin silang ipasyal. Gusto namin silang bigyan ng malalaking birthday celebration."
"Nagsawa na rin po ako kakatago. 'Yun pong huling baby ko, nakaplano na po, paglabas niya, 'pag may chance, ilalabas ko na. Sasabihin ko na lahat," said Raval. So when she gave birth to her youngest, she and Abrenica finally relaxed.
