Aljur Abrenica still open to rekindling romance with Kylie Padilla
A year after his split with his ex-wife Kylie Padilla, Aljur Abrenica revealed that he is still not putting out the fire on the possibility of rekindling his romance with her.
This, he shared in a recent interview with veteran entertainment writer and television host Aster Amoyo. In their talk, Aster asked Aljur: "You’re not closing your doors to the possibility [of reconciling with her]?"
"May nagsarado ba?" the actor answered.
He went on, "'Yung iba nga sinasabi nila wala na talaga pero mayroon pa, 'di ba? Wala namang nakakaalam kung anong mangyayari. Hindi ko nga alam na maghihiwalay kami eh. Hindi ko nga alam na magkakaanak kami, 'di ba?"
The news of Aljur and Kylie's separation broke out when Kylie's father Robin made the revelation as he guested in a vlog by talent manager and comedian Ogie Diaz. When questioned if there was a third party involved, Robin said: "Meron daw eh. Eh, imposible ba yun? Hindi naman imposible yun. Eh, lalaki 'yan."
Following this, actress AJ Raval was then speculated to be the other woman by netizens after she was spotted shopping and holding hands with Aljur at a mall. It was later made known that she and the actor are “getting to know” each other. She, however, has vehemently denied that she was the reason behind the former couple's breakup.
Aljur and Kylie have since become more amicable to each other since they started co-parenting their two children, Alas and Axl.
"Sa co-parenting kami nagfo-focus ngayon kasi iisipin niyo na 'yung mga bata eh. Almost every day nag-uusap kami. Kahit hiwalay kami, we’re still learning from each other how to be good parents," Aljur shared.
Despite rumors that he is courting AJ, Aljur confessed that his ex-wife will never leave his heart. "Hindi naman siya mawawala [sa puso ko]. Isang dekada kami magkasama, part of myself is siya na eh. Hindi ko alam kung paano ko mapu-put into words, pero hindi siya mawawala doon."
Kylie recently took to her Instagram story to reveal that she is “not looking” for a new relationship at the moment, admitting that she has grown tired of getting into relationships that seem to always end up in heartbreak.
