"Pambansang Ginoo" David Licauco has added another feather to his cap as he was recently named Scout Ambassador of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP).

BSP announced the news on its social media pages alongside a video of the Pulang Araw actor, who is set to inspire and guide the next generations of Scouts as a Scout Ambassador.

"Meet the face of adventure, leadership, and change - Scout Ambassador David Licauco! He is ready to inspire and guide the next generations of Scouts. Scout salute!" the caption read.

In the video, the 30-year-old Kapuso star said that he felt honored to have achieved this milestone, which has a big impact on every child.

He also implied that scouting is more than just adventure; it also teaches young children some life skills that they can use to serve the community.

The Kapuso star also emphasized the iconic scout motto, "Laging Handa," to help the community during calamity and as a leader.

In an interview with 24 Oras, David, who was also recently named one of the ambassadors of the non-government organization Save the Children Philippines together with his on-screen partner Barbie Forteza, said that representing BSP amplified what he loved to do—service and leadership.

David starred in GMA's historical drama Pulang Araw alongside Dennis Trillo, Alden Richards, Sanya Lopez and Barbie. He played the role of Japanese soldier Hiroshi Tanaka.

Prior to these, he also played a role in various hit Kapuso series, including Mulawin vs. Ravena (2017), Maria Clara at Ibarra (2022–2023), and Maging Sino Ka Man (2023).
