Kathryn Bernardo says Daniel Padilla ‘respects’ her timing when it comes to marriage
Kathryn Bernardo said she and Daniel Padilla have talked about tying the knot one day, but added he “respects” her timing when it comes to the big relationship move.
According to entertainment site PUSH, the A Very Good Girl actress revealed that she thinks she’s not ready to take their romance to the next level at the moment. “He respects my timing din. Alam ko din na hindi pa ako ready so ayaw mong pilitin ‘yung mga ganun,” she said.
“Ang importante, masaya kayo ngayon tapos take it day by day,” she added.
Kathryn said it might take a while for them to get married as they are still prioritizing their careers right now. “Wala, tagal pa. Kasi ngayon, nandito pa kai sa peak namin ngayon ni DJ na kailangan naming magtrabaho ng magtrabaho especially na may bahay na pinapagawa. Ang daming gastos,” she explained with a laugh.
They both know it’s not yet the right time for marriage, the local star noted.
“Open kami about it, ha. Iba-iba naman ‘yung time ng lahat. So, ngayon, a-attend lang kami ng mga kasal, kunin niyo lang kaming bridesmaids, okay lang sa amin,” she continued.
Kathryn and Daniel’s romance started onscreen under the love team KathNiel, which debuted on the teen series Growing Up in 2010. It became a big hit among viewers, leading to project after project such as Princess and I (2012), Got to Believe (2013), She’s Dating the Gangster (2014), Pangako Sa’yo (2015), Crazy Beautiful You (2015), Barcelona: A Love Untold (2016), La Luna Sangre (2017), and The Hows of Us (2018).
They confirmed their years-long relationship in 2018.
