Aubrey Miles proved that she has a green thumb both in growing plants and growing her money as she shared that she sold one of her plants for P1 million.

The actress revealed this during her guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda together with her husband Troy Montero. During the conversation, Abunda opened the topic of finances and pointed out how Miles managed to earn income from selling plants during the COVID-19 pandemic.

When asked about the most expensive plant that she sold, Miles said, "P1 million. Spiritus sancti, from Brazil kasi siya, from the rainforest, very rare."

"Hindi mo siya mahahanap basta kung ibebenta sa mga ganito. Kailangan mo siya talagang i-hunt," she added.

Decorating and gardening advice site The Spruce detailed that these plants are "in high demand but they are very rare and very few are found left in the wild." Their price commonly ranges from $500 (P27,709) to $5,000 (P277,097).

Miles said she earned profits from the plant by selling its stem cuttings to her customers.

"Nagbenta muna ako ng mga halaman. Tapos noong bumili ako, cinut ko, binenta ko ‘yun. Tapos cinut ko ulit, binenta ko ulit," the Tv host explained.

"Kung binili ko ‘yun ng P1 million, igo-grow ko lang siya, ibebenta ko ng [P300,000]. Tapos ‘yung isa, [P200,000]. Mga ilang leaves lang ‘yun, mga two, ganyan," she continued.

Because of this, she was able to use her income as a "plantita" to buy a property in Antipolo.

"Would you believe that parts of this investment [are] 'katas ng halaman?' Maraming makaka relate dito. As long as you’ve got passion, faith, and are willing to work hard, you can do anything you want in this life," she wrote in an Instagram post.

Montero, who assists Miles in selling her plants, shared that while the two of them work hand in hand in managing their finances, he admitted that his wife is the one who is more organized.

"She's so much more organized, so it's half-half," he said.

Miles added, "Even sa bills, sasabihin ko ‘You need to like pay this.’ I'll show it to him. ‘O give it to me,’ ako na ang bahala."

When it comes to their savings, she shared that she uses earnings from their social media campaigns for their out-of-town trips and other expenses.

Miles and Montero tied the knot in June 2022 after being together for 18 years. Despite not being married yet for almost two decades of being together, the pair were able to raise a happy family with their kids Cody and Rocket, as well as Miles' son Maurice.
