Viral Disneyland Evil Queen reveals reason she was fired

The viral Evil Queen of Disneyland Park in California has spoken out about the reason behind her firing.

Performer and TikTok star Sabrina Von Bogenberg told NewsNation that she was caught off guard by the decision.

“This was an abrupt exit—not one that I expected myself,” she said, noting that working with Disney had been an honor.

She also clarified that her growing online popularity was not the cause of her dismissal.

“I will say that the virality and all the love from people wanting to come see me in the park, to my knowledge, really didn’t play a role in this,” she said.

Von Bogenberg recounted an incident that ultimately led to her departure.

“There was a video that went pretty viral of the Evil Queen being taken out of the daily operation at Disneyland. We were made aware of this,” she shared.

She said a guest approached her after learning about the development, prompting her to respond in character.

“Without really disclosing anything, I said, ‘If guests want the Evil Queen around, go tell City Hall and make your voices known.’ Ultimately, that was considered a rule broken, according to ‘The Rat,’” Bogenberg recalled, using a rodent reference for the company.

In January 2025, the 26-year-old actress was terminated from the theme park after eight years working with them. She said she starting working with the company at the age of 18.

While she also played other villainous characters such as Maleficent, Agatha Harkness, and Lady Tremaine, she most commonly portrayed the Evil Queen. As the character, Sabrina would roam around the park and try to interact with the guests in her Evil Queen persona, often engaging in savage roasts and hilarious insults.

Despite this, Von Bogenberg said that she has a "few projects coming out over the next few months" and is hoping to become an actress on the Broadway stage or join a national tour.
