Jennifer Lawrence gives birth to baby no. 2
Jennifer Lawrence's family just got a whole lot bigger!
The Hunger Games star has now welcomed her second child with her art gallerist husband Cooke Maroney, according to a report by PEOPLE.
Sources told the news outlet that the couple was spotted out for a stroll together in New York City on March 31 after the birth of their newborn. A representative for Lawrence has yet to confirm the news.
Details regarding her baby's gender and name have also yet to be disclosed.
Lawrence previously announced that she was expecting her second baby with Maroney through an Instagram post from Vogue in October 2024.
"Congratulations are in order for Jennifer Lawrence! The Oscar-winning actor will be welcoming her second child with art gallerist husband Cooke Maroney, a representative has confirmed to Vogue," the post said.
After the pair exchanged vows in Rhode Island in 2019, they became parents for the first time with the birth of their son Cy in February 2022.
Lawrence has kept details about her personal life and relationship with her husband away from the spotlight. However, in 2022, she opened up to Vogue about how she found it "scary" to talk about motherhood.
"Only because it’s so different for everybody. If I say, it was amazing from the start, some people will think, it wasn’t amazing for me at first, and feel bad," she said.
She also shared how her "whole life started over" the morning she gave birth to Cy.
"The morning after I gave birth, I felt like my whole life had started over. Like, now is day one of my life. I just stared. I was just so in love. I also fell in love with all babies everywhere," Lawrence shared.
"Newborns are just so amazing. They’re these pink, swollen, fragile little survivors. Now, I love all babies. Now I hear a baby crying in a restaurant, and I’m like, 'Awwww, precious,'" she added.
Before welcoming her first son, the actress went through two miscarriages.
Lawrence is known for her roles as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games series and Mystique in X-Men: First Class. In 2013, she won an Oscar for Best Actress for her role in Silver Linings Playbook.
